Autumn/Winter 2024/25 trends (part two)

Autumn/Winter 2024/25 trends (part two)

Thank you for all your fabulous responses to last week’s Style Post. As promised, Part 2 focuses on this season’s prints together with the perfect accessory. I hope it inspires you to review your autumn wardrobe, think about what pieces could elevate it, and choose only what you truly love—and will continue to love—for many seasons to come.

Leopard Print : Catwalk Inspiration

Leopard print divides opinion. So many women I know love it and it continues to be a staple print in their wardrobe; whilst others feel it instantly cheapens an outfit and often ages them. If you feel the latter – this may be the season you change your mind.

Leopard Print : Highstreet Interpretation

I am a fan of the print but am quite specific when it comes to styling it. I know it’s a ‘neutral’ (and works with all colours) but I tend to steer towards dressing it down with denim, knitwear and lighter shades rather than stong bold colours. It also looks super cool clashed with other prints of similar tones. Give it a try – it may well surprise you.

Plaid & Checks : Catwalk Inspiration

As temperatures drop, the classic check pattern always makes a comeback, but for the autumn 2024, it’s truly stealing the spotlight. Runways were filled with heritage tweeds and checked prints, capturing the essence of British countryside chic.

I love the colour and texture these prints add to a simple outfit. In my opinion, a check blazer is always a great investment: beautiful with shirts, knitwear, over a silk camisole and jeans or belted with an evening dress. - chic, effortless, versatile – job done!

The Long Boot : Catwalk Inspiration

Similar to jeans, there is a boot style to suit everyone (if you don’t know what it is – call me!) but this season the ‘long boot’ dominated the runways. Colours ranged from rich burgundy and brown to classic black with minimal detailing. Paired with textured tweed miniskirts, flowing maxi skirts, and trousers, the result was style perfection.

The Long Boot : High Street Interpretation

There are stunning boots on the high-street this season. Just a few suggestions on styling:

Remember:

  • Long boots are super versatile and look fabulous under wide leg cropped trousers or jeans.
  • They give a cool, edgier look to ‘pretty’ dresses and silk skirts.
  • The shorter the skirt, the lower the heel – just saying!

I hope my trend style posts inspire you for the season and if you struggle to create an autumn style you love, do get in touch because you deserve to have one.

You're very welcome

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
