When is a shop – more than just a shop?
When it’s Shop at Bluebird.
During the month of February I spend time checking out new designers and visiting stores to ensure my clients (and you my fabulous readers) are kept up to date with all that is new in the world of Style.
This week I visited Shop at Bluebird and it was such joy, I feel the need to share!I’ve been a huge fan of the store (originally on the Kings Road) for some time. When I heard it was moving I was unsure Covent Garden would be the right place for it – boy was I wrong. The grade-II listed building, Carriage Hall, on Floral Street is the perfect location. With its original pulleys, beams and glass atrium set against modern art installations it is easy to see why it has been described as “a treasure trove of new discoveries” and a “playground of wonder”.
The store prides itself on including the best fashion, beauty, art and homeware pieces from around the world. What I particularly love is its mix of contemporary labels as well as luxury names all under one roof.As with everything these days, you can go on-line to see what’s available (I have picked just a few of my favourites below) but honestly – visit the store and I guarantee it will bring back your love of shopping on the high-street.
I should point out Shop at Bluebird do have other stores but its flagship store, with triple-height atrium and hidden courtyard, is just the best – oh and did I mention it has a restaurant? Enjoy!
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
