Wearable Spring 2025 Trends
As I am writing this it is a glorious day: bright, warm and sunny. Apparently, tomorrow temperatures dip, but for now I am full of optimism for Spring. A new season comes with new trends and the fashion pack have spoken. Designers have showcased their latest catwalk collections and the high-street will be interpreting them. I love taking inspiration from the catwalk shows BUT it is easy to become obsessed with being “on trend”. Remember to take your time to choose those pieces that resonate with you, that give you a lift, that work with your existing wardrobe, and trust me, you will remain forever stylish.
I have chosen 5 classic trends that designers have reinvented to give them a modern twist. Enjoy!
Sophisticated suede

Suede took centre stage on designer catwalks and was showcased in various colours including pink, khaki and burgundy. However, I feel tan is always such a sophisticated neutral: team with denim, all white or inject bolder combinations as seen on the Gucci catwalk. Also remember injecting a suede accessory will give a chic ‘nod’ to the trend (and your outfit) without the need to invest in a more expensive piece.
Pretty in Pink

The prettiest of pinks adorned the catwalk. Whilst all shades were welcome, the emphasis was on a softer, prettier ‘ballet slipper’ shade. It is way more flattering than you think and works well with crisp white, deep red, green and brown. I particularly love this softer shade in suiting - it allows you to incorporate masculine tailoring in a more feminine way.
Dependable Denim

Denim is always a firm favourite on the catwalk and reimagined each season. For spring 2025 the denim shirt was in the spotlight, teamed with wide leg jeans, and suede accessories. This is such an easy look to recreate with so many shirt styles to choose from and don’t forget the denim waistcoat – a particular favourite of mine!
Sheer Sophistication

This may not be the most obvious trend to buy into but it can be worn in an easy and sophsticated way, particularly for spring/summer. Whether you opt for sheer, lace or mesh pieces, introduce layering and it becomes a more wearable trend. A camisole, vest top or bralette, under a blouse, will look look stunning; or a short slip, in a contrasting colour, under a skirt, will look super cool. Remember, experimenting with new trends can often surprise you. The sheer sleeveless top below is firmly on my wish list.
Spring Stripes

Nautical-inspired fashion trends will always make an appearance on Spring catwalks. However, this season focussed heavily on striped shirts in a variety of colourways. Team them with everything from denim to shorts to maxi skirts. And if shirts are not for you (call me immediately!) you will also find beautiful striped dresses, co-ords and polo tops to tempt you.
Enjoy finding new pieces you love for Spring, that will inject new life into your existing wardrobe.
You're very welcome

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
