The Perfect Tee and The Power of Red

So where do we sit when it comes to Valentine’s Day? Do we embrace the love or do we regard it as commercial nonsense? Surely, we don’t need a specific day to remind people we love them (Friday in case you need prompting)? As a teenager I vividly remember receiving cards written, under duress, by my brother, and posted by my Mum – just in case the boy I ‘loved’ at school didn’t feel the same!

I’m conflicted by Valentine’s Day. I love the idea of celebrating love for someone (whether it be a romantic partner, a good friend, or a family member) but when I see the overpriced roses, the valentine’s set-menu in restaurants, the tacky underwear in stores, I do become a little dis-heartened - see what I did there?

I obviously couldn’t let this particular Style Post pass without sharing my trademark colour inspiration with you.
