The jumper we all need to add versatility to our wardrobe
Yes, it’s officially winter. The weather has turned crisp and cold and I’ve brought out my winter wardrobe. Just as I believe you can never have too many white shirts during the summer months – in winter I feel exactly the same about grey jumpers. I have a variety: long and oversized; cropped and fitted; slouchy v-neck; exaggerated cowl neck and fitted tunic styles. But, in my defence, I wear them all! Firstly because grey is a fantastic neutral colour. It works beautifully with navy, burgundy, green, black, pink and denim. Secondly, because there’s no end to the versatility of a grey jumper - it works with everything:
- leather trousers and boyish flats;
- blue jeans and ankle boots;
- silk dresses and long boots;
- statement evening skirts and strappy high-heels;
If you need more convincing, here’s one of my style inspirations, Olivia Palermo, demonstrating my point beautifully.
The great news is there are numerous versions available on the high street and on-line (to suit all budgets). Here is a selection of my favourites which may inspire you to invest in one or at least add to your Christmas list.
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
