The Accessory Trend Report for Spring/Summer 2023

The Accessory Trend Report for Spring/Summer 2023

Accessories transform the simplest outfit. A fabulous pair of shoes will elevate your basic jeans & t-shirt; a beautiful piece of jewellery adds interest; and a great handbag is the perfect ‘finishing touch’. Accessories played a huge part in bringing the Spring 2023 runways to life. Where designers lead the high-street follows which is the inspiration for this Style Post. Here are my 3 favourite accessories from catwalk inspiration to high-street interpretation. Enjoy!

Catwalk Inspiration : The New Heel

High Street Interpretation: The New Heel

Who says heels can’t be comfortable? Block heels, platforms and wedges will all give you both height and comfort. All 3 styles will look incredible with midi-skirts, shirt dresses or your favourite jeans – see the difference a great pair of heels will make to your wardrobe.

Catwalk Inspiration : Supersized Bags

High Street Interpretation: Supersized Bags

Those of you who know me well, know my handbags are always on the large size. Much as I try to master the cross-body or mini-tote, I never quite manage it (unless I carry it inside a huge tote!). It turns out the designers agree with me this season - “bigger is better”. There are so many beautiful versions on the high-street. Many of my favourites are ‘shopper-style’ with a raffia twist – giving your summer wardrobe a perfect spring/summer update.

Catwalk Inspiration : Chunky Silver Jewellery

High Street Interpretation : Chunky Silver Jewellery

Most of us have a preference when it comes to jewellery. If you love gold and rose gold – relax, there is plenty of it out there. However, silver has been hailed as one of the biggest trends for the season. Designers showcased bold, simplistic pieces worn with minimalist clothing and I couldn’t be happier. Choose one statement piece and let it do the talking. If you feel a chunky necklace is too much, simply layer with finer ones and enjoy creating your own unique piece.

I hope this has inspired you to look at the accessories you own. Why not take a fresh look and see how they can transform your spring/summer wardrobe?

You’re very welcome
