One simple way to update your Autumn Wardrobe
Last Thursday I got to do what I love best : meet fabulous women to discuss all things style. It was an event hosted by the amazing Jigsaw team in Kingston. My aim, as guest stylist, was to give insight and inspiration on the brand’s new season collection. Thank you to everyone who turned up on a dark, rainy evening. The love, support and energy was palpable. It is incredible what happens when brilliant women come together.
As well as selecting my favourite style trends I wanted to focus on how we could update our autumn style in a relatively simple way. The answer is to add a bright, unexpected colour. This will always breathe new life into a wardrobe full of neutral shades. Take this beautiful chartreuse slip skirt – a colour I have never worn. On my way to the event, I was stopped 3 times to ask where it was from. It felt so luxurious to wear and reminded me of the joy and power of colour. At first glance you may not consider this skirt colour to be particularly versatile but allow me to change your mind. Here it is with a selection of neutral staples that work beautifully. It's the skirt that keeps on giving! Enjoy finding yours.
I hope this style post inspires you if you feel stuck in a rut with a wardrobe full of navy, black and grey. This season, add a pop of colour that brings you joy. All it takes is one piece that will work hard for you and make a huge difference to how you look and feel, especially on those dark winter evenings.
You're very welcome
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
