New Launch: The +J Collection for Uniqlo
As I sit down to write this, we are about to enter our second lock-down. I know it will impact us all in different ways, but I hope the weekly Style Post continues to bring you some light relief from whatever worries you face in the forthcoming weeks.
I have decided, during this lockdown, to read more in the evenings rather than binge watching TV- which I mastered perfectly the first time around. I see myself reading in silky pjs, with a G&T and a beautiful candle burning close by – let’s see how that works out! I have also vowed to take long, daily walks, whatever the weather. This involves me wearing a warm, practical coat. I’m talking a PADDED COAT. I know I should have one (amongst so many of my coats) but I have yet to find one I love. That is until I checked out the forthcoming Jil Sander’s Collection for Uniqlo. Jil Sander is an iconic German fashion designer who has achieved international success for her forward-thinking designs. Her collaboration with Uniqlo does not disappoint. It launches on 12th November and is based on 3 principles modernity, durability, and uncluttered style.
I adore this piece as I find long padded coats way too bulky. I love that it retains a structured shape and has great proportions despite being padded. Job done!
If you are all sorted on the padded coat front – you can view the full collection here along with a few of my favourites below that are on my wish list – there’s even one for the boys.
The style and colour-way of this merino wool jumper is stunning. It does come in other options but I think mixing cream into knitwear makes it super chic and being darker on the body (rather than all cream) ensures it is both flattering and practical.
Come on -it’s a white shirt – do I really need to explain why I adore it? Effortless, sexy, cool. Every woman needs at least one in her wardrobe.
I know I have way too many coats, but I cannot resist this beautiful masculine, classic. The navy looks incredibly stylish (it comes in black and burgundy too) and works with everything from jeans and trainers to an evening dress (remember those?).
The Collection also includes great menswear – I’ve got my eye on this beautiful cashmere crew neck for Killick (well, I say for Killick, but I’m pretty sure our vows said “what’s his is mine” – or something like that)!
In true Jil Sander’s form, the +J collection features "sophisticated essentials." which I believe all men and women need in their wardrobes. See you on the 12th November (well – kind of!). Be quick – something tells me this collection will sell-out fast.
Love
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
