Need inspiration for your Christmas Day outfit…

Many of you have been e-mailing asking for advice on what to wear on Christmas Day. Well I say – put away the onesie, ditch the slippers and forget the Christmas jumper (well you did ask!). It’s time to dress up. This doesn’t mean you need to forego comfort. Check out the following pieces that will make you look and feel fabulous however and wherever you spend your Christmas Day.

The alternative Christmas jumper

A gorgeous knitted dress (preferably fine merino wool) will look and feel amazing. Whether you team it with boots or flats the look will be understated, effortless and comfortable.

The alternative Christmas onesie

Jumpsuits have become a real wardrobe staple for many of my clients. They are incredibly versatile and easy to style – a perfect choice for Christmas Day. If you haven’t tried one – give it a go – it may well surprise you.

The alternative Christmas slipper

I appreciate if you’re spending Christmas Day at home you may want to avoid those 6 inch heels! However, before you pop on your Uggs (why? why? why?) how about some beautiful statement flats - a cool, stylish and comfortable alternative.

And if you’re thinking you’re missing something to finish off your outfit – add the perfect accessories: a great lipstick, some fantastic jewellery and a glass of bubbly – Happy Christmas!
