MKS Holiday Style: What I wore in Valencia….

Hola,
I am back from Valencia! Killick and I had a glorious time. When I told people we were going for 7 days, they’re first question was ‘Are you staying in Valencia the whole time?’ I can see why as you don’t need a full 7 days to appreciate all that Valencia offers but we just took our time, relaxed, walked for miles, I even cycled (who am I?) and we ate our body weight in tapas.
The week leading up to my trip was a particularly busy one so all that advice I share about packing in outfits, taking time to consider what you’ll be doing on holiday, decanting toiletries etc went array as I pulled out my suitcase at 11.30 pm the night before our early flight! What it made me realise is, when under pressure to pack, it becomes very clear what your trusted favourites are. Here are some of mine.
What I packed for 7 days:
1 x swimsuit
1 x bikini
3 x dresses
2 x trousers
2 x white shirts
1 x linen top
2 x vest tops
1 x pair of shorts
4 x shoes (sliders, block heels, low strappy sandals, flatforms)
How I wore them: See below - the photographer (wife’s own) says “you’re very welcome”
Linen Asymmetric Maxi Dress

Dress (Etsy); strappy block heel sandals (Clarkes)
Oversized Shirt & Silky Trousers

White shirt (All Saints) old; Belt (Reiss); trousers (Jigsaw) old; Flatforms (John Lewis) old.
Linen Shorts & Top

Pink linen top (Massimo Dutti); Belt (Massimo Dutti) old; shorts (Uniqlo) old; Sandals (Clarkes) as before.
White Linen Shirt & Wide-Leg Trousers

White linen shirt (Jigsaw) old; Kemp Linen trousers (Jigsaw) old; Flatforms (as before)
Kaftan Dress & Bikini

Dress Cos (old); Sliders (as before); Black Bandeau Bikini (old)
Mini Shirt Dress

Dress (Cos) old; Sliders (as before)
Silk Co-Ord

Co-ord (Jigsaw) old; Sandals (M&S) old; Belt (Massimo Dutti) old
I felt relaxed and cool (most of the time). Ok, maybe once or twice, the heat got to me (33 degrees) and my inner stroppy teenager emerged demanding ice cream – but, did I mention, 33 degrees people!
Looking through the images I realise if you love pattern and print, I have let you down badly! So let me leave you with 3 of my current favourite print dresses from Reiss (super pretty); Temperley London (so chic) and La DoubleJ (go bold or go home!)
You’re very welcome

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
