Maggie Recommends - Norma Kamali Skincare
In September I had the pleasure of meeting Norma Kamali at the Allbright Club, Mayfair.Norma is an American fashion designer (of Lebanese and Spanish descent) and most famous for introducing ‘athleisure’ to the fashion world.Back in 1970 she launched the "sleeping bag" coat, garments made from silk parachutes, sweatshirt dresses etc.She’s has an incredibly interesting back-story and what strikes you most about this 74 year old (yes 74 year old!!) woman is her energy and youthful glow.
I was mesmerised by how great her skin looked: so you can imagine my delight when I discovered she has launched a skincare brand.
Overwhelmed by the vast amount of skincare products claiming to have the “must have ingredient” Norma wanted to simplify things and focus on tried and tested, timeless and natural ingredients (including olive oil, shea butter charcoal and aloe).There are four core products in her skincare line: Clean, Smooth, Soft and Glow.I love the simplicity already.
Clean: a soap-free cleanser for the face and body;
Smooth: an exfoliator made with finely ground olive stones;
Soft: a face and body moisturizer with olive oil; and
Glow: made with sugar beet and shea butter that she describes as her answer to self-tanner.
I have been using these products for 3 weeks now and I am absolutely hooked.I love how they feel on my skin and I can honestly say my skin has never looked better.So, if you’re looking to update your skincare regime, I recommend trying the starter kit which is very reasonably priced at just £43.50.
You’re very welcome
