Maggie Loves….My Top 3 Recommendations

Great ‘finds’ make me happy. Whether it’s clothing, podcasts, places or people – there is great joy in sharing them with you. So, here are 3 of my recommendations for the week-end – I hope you love them as much as I do.

Listening to - Style DNA Podcast

Regular readers you will know I am a huge Amanda Wakeley fan. I have had the pleasure of working with her over the years and I, along with so many of my clients, miss her designs and the impact she made to the fashion industry. She is a true style icon, and I could not be more thrilled to share that she is back with a brilliant podcast “Style DNA”. Amanda will be talking to a selection of well-known guests to understand life stories and experiences that shaped their style DNA. I loved the first episode with Trinny Woodall – a fascinating conversation and some excellent style advice. Amanda is a warm, knowledgeable, and inspiring woman, not to mention, a natural podcast host - I am delighted for her and cannot wait to hear more episodes. You can listen via whichever podcast platform you use.

Visiting – Horsham Pip’s Pop Up

I love clothes and fashion (obviously) but I also care deeply about sustainability. However, I’m often put off by ‘pre-loved’ clothing as the websites and shops I visit fail to inspire me. That is until now. My good friend and stylist Jo has ventured into the preloved and vintage clothing market and I am thrilled. She has launched Pip’s Preloved Fashion. Jo is naturally stylish; has an eye for stunning clothing; and has the skill to style her pieces beautifully. Her first pop up is at Horsham Market this Saturday 8th October. I will be there to shop her beautiful, curated pieces. If you fancy joining me – it would be a joy but arrive early – I guarantee Jo’s pieces will sell out fast!

Wearing – The Park Boot by Dear Frances

"I look to develop investment styles with a quiet aesthetic; pieces that can be worn and cherished forever is the heart of our slow fashion ethos"– Jane Frances

I love these Dear Frances boots. The brand’s ethos is to slow fashion down with modern classics designed to last. Amen to that. I know I will wear these boots for years to come which makes them worth the investment. They work with everything from long dresses, skirts and jeans. I love the shape (not too chunky), the fact they come in 9 stylish shades (I was so tempted by the tan and oyster grey); the cool detailing on the laces, and boy are they comfortable – what’s not to love?

You’re very welcome

Maggie Killick

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
