Maggie Killick Wears : A mix of textures
As a Stylist, many people assume I always know what to wear.Well, here’s the thing…often I struggle when I put an outfit on that I loved last week but doesn’t quite work this week (note to self – that’s not about the clothes it’s about how I’m feeling).Sometimes, I don’t feel edgy enough; some days I want to wear something I love but I know it’s impractical for a day rushing from one meeting to the next.However, this outfit is the one I return to again and again whatever style dilemma I’m having.

Style Tips:
- Remember - velvet, denim and suede are a fabulous mix of textures that add interest to a simple outfit;
- The longer the boot, the lower the heel should be, to avoid a “Pretty Woman” look!
- White shirts are always effortlessly cool.There’s a style and budget for everyone (some of my favourites include Gap, Amanda Wakeley and of course my own design from the MK Collection).Go for the best quality you can afford as once you find the one you love - you’ll wear it endlessly.
Whilst the items I’m wearing are old, if you are looking to
create the look – here are some options from Reiss, J Crew and LK Bennett.
A final word…Obviously make this look your own.You may decide to go for a tweed/check blazer and gorgeous leather boots – you’ll still achieve the same look and each item will remain a key piece for autumn/winter and beyond.
