LOCK-DOWN FAVOURITES I WEAR ON REPEAT…
Do you miss getting dressed up? I know it seems trivial in the grand scheme of things but, for me and many people I know, it has a massive impact on mood, productivity, and energy. It’s not that I want to swan around in a ball-gown and heels (well, not often!) but I do want to feel good and get away from pjs, gym kit and joggers. So, I thought I’d share with you my ‘lock-down staples’: those versatile pieces that make me feel good and that I wear on repeat. You’ll see below how I mix and match these staples to create other looks. This is the key to creating a versatile wardrobe rather than one crammed with clothing you only wear in one way. I hope this inspires you to look at how you outfit build to create looks you love.
The Summer Dress
I own this Me & Em dress in navy (last season) and wore it endlessly last year. It feels incredible and can be worn with or without a belt. Whether teamed (Yes I did say “teamed”!) with a long knit, a denim jacket, flats or wedges – it’s the dress that keeps on giving.
The Culottes
Whilst I love jeans and chinos, a pair of culottes can look fabulous and feel incredibly comfortable. I own a grey pair from Cos (2 years old) that are very similar to these from Arket. They look great with a t-shirt and sliders – just upgraded pjs really! Check them out below – together with alternative, equally stylish options.
The Maxi Skirt
A maxi skirt is a super-easy piece for your wardrobe (whatever style you go for). What I love about this particular one from Massimo Dutti is the asymmetric hem which makes it super flattering, whatever your height. Wear with a vest top, long line cardigan and espadrilles for a chic and effortless look – or plimsoles and denim jacket for an edgy, dressed-down style.
Do you have a dress, cool trousers a great skirt that you love? How do you wear them? Do they have more potential? If you need some help deciding please do get in touch by clicking here. I can book you in for an on-line consultation (over coffee or a glass of wine if you prefer)! It would be a pleasure to help create stylish looks for you – working with what you already own or helping you decide the best pieces to purchase right now.
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
