How clothing can impact your life
For some people, being interested in clothes and fashion at this time will seem frivolous, shallow and low priority. For me, there has never been a time when clothing holds so much importance. Clothing impacts our behaviour and performance. It can lift our mood instantly and make a bad day better and a good day fabulous. I can’t think of a better time to consider what we’re wearing – even if it may be from the comfort of our home with little face to face interaction.
The aim of this post is to offer inspiration for casual outfits that give you a sense of feeling ‘pulled together’ whilst remaining super comfortable.
Now, I’m assuming you will all own some, or all, of the following pieces (if not – call me!):
- jeans in the most flattering cut for your shape;
- trousers in wide, cigarette or culotte style;
- a perfect skirt that is either slip style, pleated or leather
- plimsoles, ballet flats or loafers.
These are all perfect basics for a beautiful casual wardrobe. Team any of them with a cool cardigan, a stylish hoody, a colourful knit, or a perfect t-shirt and you are good to go. Check out my choices below for inspiration and ideas on how to create your own looks that will keep you looking and, more importantly, feeling great during such an unsettling time.

I hope you feel inspired to create your own stylish ‘at home’ outfits OR invest in some new pieces that will work with your existing wardrobe. Remember, when choosing to buy an additional piece, think of 3 different ways to wear it with your current wardrobe. It’s a great way to decide whether to make a purchase.
You’re very welcome.
