Headline News…Trouser Suits are back for 2019

Ok, I know there is a lot going on in the world that needs our attention but in the world of style and fashion – trouser suits are front page news.Ladies - they are back for Spring/Summer 2019. In the world of Maggie Killick Style – they never went away.However, this season is all about relaxed tailoring and embracing new colours – whether it be pastel shades or bold vibrant colours - the choice is yours.

If you are reading this unconvinced a trouser suit is for you, here’s why it remains a favourite style staple for me (and, now, for so many of my clients) together with my favourites for this season, and many seasons to come.

What makes it such a wardrobe staple?

• It is effortless to style, whatever the season: in summer with a t-shirt and plimsolls or in Autumn with a fitted roll-neck and heels – it just works;
• It is incredibly versatile: wear the jacket with a great dress for work; with an evening dress or a statement skirt and try the trousers with a silk blouse or denim shirt…so many possibilities;
• It is suitable for all ages and body shapes: if you love your slim legs opt for a cigarette style; if your legs are your least favourite part, wear a stunning wide leg version. This is the very reason I designed both as part of the Maggie Killick Style Collection
• Whilst the trouser suit is iconic it is constantly being re-invented: from culotte-style to kick flare versions – there is so much choice whatever your style preference.
