From an early age I remember loving clothes – the sheer joy of “dressing up”. By the age of 16 I had developed a particular style (not that I knew it at the time). This style, despite evolving, remains true today: red lipstick (nude lipstick always baffled me!) a man’s double-cuffed white shirt (in the early days M&S) and an oversized suit jacket (in the early days my Dad’s). Later in life I grew to understand what clothing could do for me: giving me the confidence I needed, improving my posture and shape and above all putting a huge smile on my face. Fast forward to today and I feel incredibly privileged to work as a clothes stylist and designer. Never in my wildest dreams did I realise I could turn my passion into a career.
My vision for the clothing line was to create a collection of ‘perfect staples’ for stylish women everywhere. Clearly they needed to be beautiful, contemporary and made from exceptional fabric but more than that they needed to have a quirky twist – a hint of masculine meets feminine (strong but sexy; classic with attitude) and they needed to work hard for my clients. My belief has always been to “be selective with clothing, mix it up and make it your own” and that’s exactly what my collection allows you to do. The Collection is for anyone who wants to look effortlessly stylish; who wants to feel fabulous and who appreciates striking pieces that remain timeless.
Together with talented and generous experts my collection was brought to life in September 2014.
