The perfect solution for ‘wedding guest’ dressing

The perfect solution for ‘wedding guest’ dressing

We’ve all done it, haven’t we? We receive an invitation to a wedding, and we panic buy. Often, we don’t love the outfit it and once worn, it remains in our wardrobe, as a stark reminder of money wasted.

Many women I meet are often torn between wearing something they love and feeling pressure to wear something they feel they should, despite it not being their style. If this is you, remember what makes you feel good and what suits you. Weddings have moved on – they no longer require you to wear pastels, match your bag with your shoes, wear a fascinator, a bolero jacket – the list goes on.

I love styling clients for weddings and event dressing. It’s a total joy to find them a beautiful outfit that they will continue to love and re-wear in different ways. If you are struggling to find that perfect wedding guest outfit – firstly – call me! Secondly, why not think about a ‘Co-Ord’. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Need more convincing? Here are two of my favourites and how I have styled them for a wedding, for a fabulous lunch date and for a less dressy affair. Enjoy!

I hope this Style Post inspires you to consider a ‘co-ord’ . There are so many options with varying budgets available this season, including fabulous trouser suits if skirts are not for you. I invested in this co-ord from Whistles, over 5 years ago, and it still brings me joy whenver and however I wear it. I hope your clothing does the same for you.

You're very welcome
