Summer Sales – Key items to purchase…
So the summer sales are here and it’s fair to say we all love a bargain. However sale shopping can send the most rational mind slightly bonkers. Many women (including myself in a former life) end up buying items simply because they are heavily reduced. Whether the item fits or suits tends to be irrelevant!
So just a word of warning when you head to the sales: Ask yourself – Does it make me feel good? Does it work with my wardrobe? Would I buy it full price? If not, ask yourself why. Now we’ve got that out of the way, go forth (with or without me – but preferably with) and knock yourself out. Here are just a few sale items I have my eye on and why I’ve convinced myself they’re worth it.
Sales are a great opportunity to buy designer underwear such as Stella McCartney shown below. Whilst she may not be the go to brand for everyday underwear, during the sales she becomes a realistic option. I tend to stock up on new underwear during the sales, it’s the ideal time to give your underwear drawer a new lease of life without spending a fortune.
A structured handbag
I love structured bags especially when wearing casual clothing. I think I was born to carry this Lulu Guinness one below. Wether it’s a tote, clutch or purse Lulu Guinness guarantee beautifully made pieces that last a lifetime, all with quirky detailing that make any outfit special.
A stylish swimsuit
If I’m going to wear one (or a bikini) I want one that gives me confidence. This particular version from J Crew is incredibly stylish and has ruching – ruching is everyone’s friend!
A Statement Skirt
A statement skirt is one of my favourite items to wear. It’s the perfect partner for a great shirt, t-shirt or simple knit. I love combining dressy and casual pieces – the key to effortless style.
The Vintage Style T-shirt
Sales are a great time to stock up on basics that we rely on continuously. Grey and white t-shirts are a definite wardrobe staple for me – worn with anything from jeans and a suit jacket to a statement skirt – I’ll never tire of them.
Happy sale shopping.
Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
