Still looking for sale bargains…then you’re in luck

Firstly, many thanks for your New Year messages from last week’s post. I’ve had a terrific response to the Style Resolutions and am delighted that so many of you have decided this is the year you will make a conscious effort to wear more of what you have. If you need a little help, here are just a few suggestions of how to do it easily:

• take the ‘dressy’ skirt you save for special occasions and team it with a simple jumper or t-shirt;

• take the little black dress you save for formal events and team with a great shirt underneath and some fabulous long boots;

• dust off your statement shoes and wear them with your favourite jeans and a chunky knit.

One of my resolutions this year is ‘when buying something new – give something away’. So, just this week having purchased a gorgeous pair of sale shoes from Whistles I then went through my shoe collection and gave a pair to a good friend of mine. She loved them, they looked fabulous on her and we were both delighted. I also felt a little less guilty about purchasing yet another pair of shoes – albeit sale ones!

Talking of sales, many of you have asked for more suggestions of great sale items still available in stores. Here is a small selection I particularly love. They are all versatile, stylish staples and they’re reduced – what’s not to love?
