Maggie’s Top 5 Recommendations

Maggie’s Top 5 Recommendations

Great ‘finds’ make me happy. Whether it’s clothing, podcasts, places or people – there is great joy in sharing them with you. So, here are my Top 5 recommendations for the week-end – I hope you love them as much as I do.

A crisp new shirt

We all know how much I love a shirt. This is my latest addition to my collection. I cannot wait to wear it this season with denim, with a statement skirt, or with chinos. It’s the shirt that keeps on giving.

An amazing Indian Restaurant

Chutney Mary – we love you! The food is heavenly, the bar is decedent and the staff so kind and welcoming. I did take some photos of our food, but honestly, they do not do it justice. Check out the website instead and the smiles of two of their biggest fans.

A treatment for nails

Having given up gel manicures, my nails have finally regrown stronger and healthier thanks to this product. I’ve used strengthening treatments before, but this one is so different (ie. it works!). It also leaves a lovely healthy natural finish to nails so can be used alone on bare nails, or as a strengthening treatment base coat under nail polish.

A fabulous podcast

Kirsty Young takes her guests back to meet their younger selves and asks the question : if you knew then, what you know now…what would you tell yourself? I love the concept and Kirsty is the perfect host : she’s thoughtful, intelligent and gets the best out of her guests without being formulaic – a rare skill in podcasting – AND she has the best voice. Enjoy!

A beautiful blow-dry

When your hair feels good so do you. it makes for a better day. I am lucky that my hairdresser is local (15 minutes if I run!). She has also become a fabulous friend who will ‘sort me’ whether I have an event to go to, a presentation to give, or on those days when I just need to feel better about myself. Find yourself a hairdresser you love, who becomes your friend and who never lets you down. And if you’re local to Kingston that person is Sarah Haynes at Ben Forest Your hairdresser. You’re welcome.

And one for the ‘Wish List’ : A stunning Max Mara Clutch Bag in MKS Red

I was recently invited to a preview of Max Mara’s new collection and fell in love with so many pieces including this stunning red clutch bag (coming soon). It’s on my wish list but if you can’t wait check out other options from their iconic pasticciono collection. With so many colours and fabrics you’ll be spoilt for choice.

You're very welcome

Maggie Killick

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
