Maggie Killick Wears….a Statement Coat
It’s crisp, it’s cold – time to “wrap up” in a beautiful coat.
The one I’m wearing is 4 years old, yet it remains a firm favourite of mine. The colour combination works beautifully with denim, white, burgundy and black and I love its oversized cut and collar.I can be wearing the simplest outfit but when I throw on this coat, I feel like I’ve made a real effort. If you’re looking to buy a new coat this season, or have one on your Christmas list – here are 3 of my favourite check coats from the high-street: And Other Stories; Jigsaw; and J Crew. When deciding on your new coat please remember to donate your old one to the charity Wrap Up London. Every coat you donate will go straight to those who need it most: the homeless, refugees, the elderly, people fleeing domestic violence, and those at risk through living in poverty. For these people the impact of receiving a coat goes way beyond keeping warm. When a person at risk contacts a charity to collect a coat, they receive practical help and have the opportunity to accept ongoing support to change their situation long-term.
Drop offs can be made at safe-store locations across London (including Clapham North, Kings Cross, Notting Hill, Chiswick and the QEII Centre).Details can be found here and you have until the 24th November to donate.
Every coat collected offers a real opportunity for positive change – how simple and how wonderful is that?
You’re very welcome
