It’s the colour of the season and I couldn’t be happier…
Yes, it’s the hottest trend for Autumn/Winter - it can make you feel confident and it can brighten the dullest of days - I’m talking RED. This season catwalks were awash with my favourite colour. There were sleek coats from Armani, not to mention head-to-toe outfits by Oscar de la Renta and Givenchy.

Whilst wearing red is a go-to colour for me (just check out my lips!) the colour can feel too bold for some. However, I believe everyone can wear it - the trick is finding your own way to do it:
- wearing it head to toe is one way and is easier to carry off than you may think;
- introducing red as a pop of red (whether it be heels, bag, nails or lips) will give a nod to the trend and lift any outfit, whether smart or casual;
- wearing tonal shades together from the ‘red family’ eg. scarlet, burgundy, garnet etc will give your outfit a modern and directional twist.
Need more convincing… take a look at some of my favourite red pieces that have been inspired by the catwalk and interrpreted beatifully by the high-street.
Make this Autumn/Winter the season you invest in a beautiful red piece. Remember it’s a great neutral that goes with so many colours; there is a shade to suit everyone from blondes to brunettes; and it cannot fail to put a smile on your face (particularly mine)! What are you waiting for?
