Statement tights have made a comeback. They dominated the catwalk this season with many designers opting to showcase them in various shades of red. This trend is one of the easiest ways to update your look and a relatively inexpensive way to add a modern twist to a simple outfit. Now, before many of you immediately dismiss the look, allow me to share some advice on how to wear them together with alternative options that are less bold but equally stylish. Enjoy!

The ‘colour match’: Matching your skirt and tights and top and tailing with a bold contrast – in this case black, but the choice is yours!

The “tonal look” : Opting for tonal shades of burgundy, pink and rose works beautifully. When teaming tights with knitwear opt for a higher denier in tights.

The “monochromatic look” : Keeping your whole look monochromatic looks super chic, especially with sheer tights and strappy heels. If bright red is a step to far opt for a deep burgundy shade.
