An inspiring evening at the V&A

This week I had the pleasure of visiting my favourite London Museum – The V&A. There are so many reasons to love it: the stunning building, the incredible exhibitions and have you SEEN the gift shop? It’s easy to see why it’s the world’s leading museum when it comes to art and design.

This Thursday I was there to listen to Louise Trotter, The Creative Director of Joseph in conversation with Jo Ellison, the FT’s Fashion Editor. Here were two incredibly interesting women, relaxed in each other’s company and oozing effortless style.

Whilst I know the Joseph brand (who doesn’t?) and how strong it is - renowned for those luxury essentials (eg. a fabulous camel coat, beautifully cut black wool trousers, luxury knits etc) I have to admit I haven’t shopped there for quite some time.

Having listened to Louise speak so passionately about the history and loyalty of the brand, and how it has evolved, I was inspired to revisit Joseph’s latest collection and I’m so glad I did. It still remains true to its classic pieces but it has a more edgy, directional twist that I love.

Here are just 3 key pieces I could imagine wearing this Autumn/Winter and loving for years to come. If you’re someone who, like me, had Joseph firmly in a ‘classic box’ – you may want to think again!

Have a great week-end and feel free to share this post.
