3 Super Stylish and easy ways to layer….

There’s an art to layering isn’t there? Often it can look fabulous on catwalks and in look-books yet, in reality, it feels wrong somehow – too contrived or too damn uncomfortable to wear. If you struggle to make it work for you, I thought I’d share 3 quick and easy ways I layer during autumn/winter. The looks are chic, not too bulky and add great versatility to your wardrobe. Enjoy!

The Knitted Tank Top

This is my go-to layering piece. Wear over shirt or t-shirt, a fine roll neck, a dress or under a suit jacket to avoid the bulk of a sleeved knit. This piece will add such versatility – it’s a wardrobe staple.

The Wrap Scarf

Often it can be too warm for a chunky jumper and a coat. This is where the oversized scarf or wrap comes into its own. I particularly love wearing it with tonal colours – it gives an expensive feel to the simplest outfit.

The Fine Roll Neck

My favourite fine roll necks are from Cos or Massimo Dutti. They give a super chic look, particularly under shirts and dresses and are super-fine. And if rollnecks are not for you, you can achieve a similar effect from a long sleeve t-shirt.

I hope this style post has inspired you to look at ways you can layer pieces you already own – it’s surprising how easy it can be and the difference it can make to your style.

You’re very welcome
